Relativity Launches claiR, Giving Lawyers Conversational Command of the Full Depth of Their Legal Data

Relativity has announced the launch of claiR, a conversational AI experience designed to give lawyers intuitive, plain-language access to the full depth of their legal data within the RelativityOne platform. Unlike many AI tools that require moving sensitive data to external environments, claiR operates directly on the existing matter records, ensuring data remains secure, governed, and auditable. This allows legal teams to gain insights from millions of documents and metadata instantly, facilitating faster and more informed decision-making in litigation, investigations, and regulatory responses.

Leading law firms, including A&O Shearman, Foley & Lardner LLP, and K&L Gates, are among the first to test the tool through Relativity's Advanced Access program. The initiative aims to refine the solution before its planned general availability in early 2027, at which point it is expected to be included in RelativityOne integrated pricing at no additional cost.

This launch is part of Relativity's broader strategy to integrate AI into existing legal workflows. This includes previous releases like Relativity aiR for Case Strategy and aiR Assist, as well as the acquisition of Gavel to bring AI-native drafting into Microsoft Word. By providing a shared system of record, claiR aims to strengthen collaboration between lawyers and technical legal data teams.
