Veterans Affairs starts search for cloud-based litigation review platform

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a single, integrated cloud platform to streamline legal discovery and processing.

Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a new cloud-based platform to streamline its legal discovery and processing functions. Currently, the department operates two separate enterprise applications for its legal function, one handling Privacy Act and Freedom of Information Act requests and the other managing general eDiscovery and litigation review. This separation results in duplicative record collection and storage, leading to inconsistent practices across different VA components. The department aims to acquire a single, integrated, FedRAMP-authorized cloud platform that manages the entire lifecycle of legal documentation, from intake to tracking and reporting. The platform would unify the evidentiary corpus, chain of custody, redaction engine, legal hold registry, audit log, and user interface. Responses to the request for information are due by 11 a.m. Eastern time on July 27.
