Litera, a legal AI platform provider, has announced Clean+, a cloud-hosted evolution of its Metadact Server product. This new tool is designed to protect law firms by removing hidden metadata from outbound email attachments, thereby mitigating risks such as the exposure of privileged work or breaches of client confidentiality. Clean+ operates on infrastructure managed by Litera, eliminating the need for IT teams to provision, patch, or maintain servers. It enforces consistent metadata protection policies across various Outlook environments, including classic Outlook, new Outlook, Outlook for Mac, Outlook for Web, and mobile. The solution is built on a deterministic, rules-based engine refined over 30 years and is available as a standalone package or included in Draft Advanced.
