Swedish legaltech startup Lightbringer secures $10M Series A to expand AI-powered patent platform – BeBeez International

Malmö-based legaltech startup Lightbringer has raised $10 million in a Series A round co-led by 6 Degrees Capital and Newion, with participation from Luminar Ventures and Alliance VC. The funding will support expansion into the US, further development of its AI-powered patent platform, and service for startups and SMEs needing patent drafting, filing, and portfolio management. CEO and co-founder Dominic Davies said he will relocate to the US to lead operations there.

Lightbringer says its Service as Software model combines IP strategy, patent filing, and portfolio management in one subscription platform, using agentic AI with oversight from expert patent lawyers. The company says this reduces filing timelines from about two months to a few days and cuts costs by roughly 50%, while shifting value away from traditional external law firms. It reported 300% year-over-year revenue growth in Q2 2026 and says it has helped more than 200 deep tech companies in 17 countries since its 2024 rollout, including TERASi, Arctic Ravn, DIASENSE, and Cler.
