Summary

An Uzbek delegation visited South Korea from May 17 to 23 under the Republic of Korea’s 2025-2026 Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP). The mission focused on studying advanced practices in legal digitalization and the application of artificial intelligence within the legislative system, including law drafting and public legal information delivery.

During the visit, representatives met with officials from the South Korean National Assembly, Constitutional Court, Ministry of Government Legislation, and the Korea Legal Information Center, as well as various legal-sector IT companies. These meetings aimed to examine modern methods for managing and distributing legal information.

A significant outcome of the program was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Uzbekistan’s "Adolat" National Legal Information Center and the Korea Legal Information Center. The agreement focuses on cooperation regarding the use and distribution of legal information, with both sides expressing interest in future joint projects involving AI technologies and broader legal sector digitalization.
