The Law Faculty received three Citations at the UTS 2022 Learning and Teaching Awards, recognizing its sustained commitment to high-quality legal education and student growth. Miranda Kaye was honored for her inspiring teaching methods that equip students with essential legal and non-legal skills, including working with vulnerable clients. Christine Giles, Tom Foran, and Dr Laura Smith-Khan received a citation for their innovative Communicating with Clients Project, which significantly improved students' communication skills and success rates in becoming Registered Migration Agents. Additionally, Dr Genevieve Wilkinson, Beth Patterson, Crystal Meikle, and Dr Maxine Evers led the 2022 winners of the Allens Neota UTS Law Tech Challenge, guiding students to develop technology-based tools that streamline social justice activities.
