Docusign unveils AI assistant and agents for contract management

Docusign announced at its Momentum conference new AI-powered capabilities for its Intelligent Agreement Management platform, introducing Iris, an AI engine that assists with contract workflows via natural language commands, and agents that monitor contracts and track obligations. It also launched Agent Studio for creating custom agents, and integrated AI models such as Anthropic Claude, Gemini, and OpenAI ChatGPT through its Model Context Protocol.

The company expanded integrations with Coupa, Microsoft Copilot, Salesforce, SAP, and Slack, and partnered with legal AI platforms Harvey, Legora, and CoCounsel. New offerings include IAM for HR (early access June US) and IAM for Sales (global today), plus AI-powered Web Forms converting PDFs to digital forms (global June). Iris, agents, and Agent Studio are in early access US today, rolling out July; Model Context Protocol is global beta. Docusign cited a Deloitte report showing ~30% higher ROI for AI-driven workflows, and noted serving ~40,000 global customers, over 1.8 million customers and over a billion people across 180 countries. Additional developments include ID.me identity verification partnership, appointment of Rowan Trollope to board, and Anthropic’s Claude for Small Business integration.
