Jurisphere Raises $2.2M to Expand AI Legal Platform Globally
Summary
India-based legal tech startup Jurisphere has raised $2.2 million in a seed funding round led by Info Edge Ventures, with participation from Flourish Ventures, Antler, and 8i Ventures. The company plans to use the funds to expand its platform globally and build a large network of AI-powered lawyers. Founded in 2024 by Manas Khandelwal, Varun Khandelwal, and Sumit Ghosh, Jurisphere combines AI tools with human legal expertise, employing a network of over 100 lawyers, including US-qualified attorneys, to review documents. The platform runs on proprietary AI models trained on more than 7.5 lakh legal documents, offering features like contract analysis, legal research, translation, and document scanning. It integrates with tools like Microsoft Word and Slack, and has processed over 12 million documents for more than 500 business clients, including banks and law firms. By removing hourly billing and providing fixed pricing, Jurisphere aims to make legal services faster and more predictable.
