Cornell Tech will host the 2026 Startup Awards and the inaugural Frontiers of AI Summit in May 2026 to celebrate student entrepreneurship and examine foundational AI research.

As the 2025–26 academic year concludes, Cornell Tech will host a series of events on its Roosevelt Island campus in New York City to showcase student achievement and innovation. The programming includes the campus's flagship Startup Awards, which celebrate graduating students and student-led entrepreneurship, and the launch of the inaugural Frontiers of AI Summit. The Startup Awards will feature eleven finalist teams competing for investment, mentorship, and office space, with the winners announced by Cornell alumnus Andrew Ross Sorkin. The event also includes Open Studio demonstrations showcasing early-stage technologies and applied research. Additionally, Cornell Tech will host an invite-only ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of new design and architecture facilities, including the Gensler Family AAP NYC Center. The Frontiers of AI Summit will bring together leaders from academia, industry, and the public sector to examine the foundational perspectives shaping the future of artificial intelligence, featuring keynotes from Andrew Ross Sorkin and Cornell Provost Kavita Bala.
