Legaltech startup Lawyered has raised $2.5 million (approximately Rs 23.2 crore) in a pre-Series A funding round co-led by Rainmatter and Turbostart, with participation from Finvolve. The company, founded in 2018 by Himanshu Gupta, aims to provide AI-supported legal assistance and risk management services. Its key product, Lawyer On-The-Spot (LOTS247), connects users with legal professionals for various issues, including accidents and disputes.

Lawyered also offers ChallanPay for traffic fine resolution and Highway Heroes+, a subscription service for truck drivers providing insurance and legal support. The startup reports having resolved over 200,000 legal cases and currently supports over two million vehicles, working with more than 800 businesses across India.

According to Himanshu Gupta, Lawyered is focused on transforming the legal sector into an “always-on, embedded, and accessible” infrastructure. Rainmatter highlighted Lawyered’s role in shifting the legal process from reactive to proactive, particularly within the logistics and mobility sectors, significantly improving compliance.
