Lawyered, a Gurugram-based legal tech startup founded in 2018, has raised $2.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Rainmatter by Zerodha and Turbostart, with participation from Finvolve. The company previously raised Rs 8.5 crore through IdeaBaaz. Lawyered focuses on providing AI-driven legal assistance, initially targeting mobility-related legal challenges with services like LOTS247 (roadside legal assistance) and ChallanPay (traffic fine resolution).
The platform aims to shift India’s legal services from reactive to proactive, utilizing Gen AI to embed legal support into daily workflows and help users avoid penalties and downtime. Currently, Lawyered covers over 2 million vehicles, works with 800+ businesses, has resolved 200,000+ cases, and helped users avoid over $6 million in penalties.
With the new funding, Lawyered plans to scale its technology, strengthen its product offerings, accelerate user acquisition, and expand its AI capabilities. The company intends to extend its legal infrastructure beyond mobility into sectors like finance, real estate, healthcare, and e-commerce, addressing recurring legal risks for businesses and individuals.
