Scotland launches national AI agency with £23bn economic growth target

Scotland has established AI Scotland, a new national agency dedicated to fostering investment and coordinating the development of artificial intelligence throughout the country. CoreWeave and DataVita are partnering on a £2.5 billion AI computing facility in Lanarkshire, touted as one of the world’s most advanced, while AI Pathfinder is funding an industrial park in Irvine, North Ayrshire, expected to generate £15 billion in local economic benefits.
