Remote Work’s New Powerhouses: 15 Fields Doubling Jobs in 2025

Webpronews
A FlexJobs analysis reveals 15 fields are experiencing rapid growth in remote job postings, with engineering, administrative, and sales leading the way.

Summary

A recent analysis by FlexJobs indicates a significant surge in fully remote job opportunities across 15 different fields, with postings doubling in some cases between January 1 and December 31, 2025. Engineering jobs saw the most substantial increase, nearly doubling, followed closely by administrative and sales roles. This trend is driven by a strong preference for remote work among professionals – 85% now prioritize remote options – and the increasing adoption of digital tools that facilitate remote oversight.

Beyond these leading fields, social media, insurance, legal, and account management positions also experienced growth exceeding 30%. Industries like banking, insurance, and healthcare are adapting through cloud-based software and telehealth platforms. Even traditionally office-bound roles in HR, recruiting, and communications are seeing a rise in remote opportunities.

The report highlights that companies like TELUS and Cognizant are actively hiring remotely, and that experienced professionals are particularly in demand, with 67% of remote roles being mid-to-senior level. FlexJobs predicts continued growth in these fields into 2026, advising job seekers to upskill and target these areas for remote work opportunities, as organizations embracing flexibility will likely be the most competitive.
